Our “home waters” the Pere Marquette is located right in our backyard. Being one of the top fisheries in the state, there is something to chase 12 months out of the year. Starting in late August the PM gets great runs of salmon which transition to steelhead towards the end of September and typically lasts through April. Also in the mix are trophy Brown Trout which make for an exciting byproduct of chasing our migratory friends.
About 35 minutes south of Ludington, the White River receives good runs of salmon and steelhead, with nice Brown Trout nestled into the mix. Receiving less pressure due to the Muskegon and Pere Marquette nearby, when its hot the bite can rival that of any river!
Arguably one of the best fisheries in the state, we especially love fishing it during the summer months for large smallmouth bass and Northern Pike. These hard fighting fish are pound for pound one of the best battles on fly or spin gear!
We fish a variety of lesser known bodies of water in the area as well to get away from some of the crowds and give you a shot at unpressured fish. Depending on the species you're looking to target we offer additional options.
